Nightwulf|work: hi all
rmrfslash: Is there OpenGL for Radeon Mobility HD3670 in radeonhd?
yangman: not yet
yangman: and 3D is handled by mesa, not the X drivers
rmrfslash: So OpenGL compositing would have nothing to do w/ the progress of the radeonhd driver?
yangman: compositing should already work
yangman: it's actual hardware-accelerated OpenGL that's lacking
rmrfslash: Yes.... that's what I meant
rmrfslash: I can only use XRender compositing w/ the radeonhd driver from what I can remember
rmrfslash: Again, not sure if that means something with the driver or not.
agd5f: rmrfslash: GL is handled by mesa which is a work in progress
rmrfslash: I see.
IrCYop: Hello, I followed the how to for doing a radeonhd driver, but when I try to tell xorg to use that driver in xorg.conf by saying in the device section that the driver is radeonhd, xorg tells me device not found when starting x
IrCYop: I'm using a Radeon 4890
kafein: Hi everyone !
kafein: Hi everyone.
kafein: I have a problem while configuring my card with radeonhd.
kafein: My card is a HD 3470
kafein: I've tried to modify HPD option. I has not changed anything
kafein: here is my actual Xorg.conf : http://kafein.pastebay.com/28706
kafein: and my last log : http://kafein.pastebay.com/28707
kafein: If anyone has an idea to help me, I'm interested. Thanks for your help.
jmho: dani_l: hi, is fregl around?
jmho: sr, wrong channel
magyar: anyone has a 4890 card?
bridgman: nope, but from a driver perspective they should program like a 4850/4870
bridgman: unless someone has a new set of IDs we haven't seen yet
magyar: bridgman: the 4890 and radeonhd, are not working out very well
magyar: i have 2.6.30 and kde 4.2, and it's very choppy and behaving odd
magyar: in konsole and konversation, when the screen gets filled up, lines begin to drop off
magyar: is there a 1.2.6 driver ?
bridgman: no, just git tips; are you running 1.2.5 or latest code ?
bridgman: and do you think acceleration is working ? what do log and dmesg output say ?
bridgman: are you running with a compositor ?
