Anvil: un bridge n'a rien a voir avec internet. Ca se passe au niveau en dessous.
Anvil: oops
marco: hi
marco: i just did a git pull of radeonhd but i seem to have some problem on debian testing compiling..it is related to this error: ./configure: line 22840: XORG_MANPAGE_SECTIONS: command not found and ./configure: line 22841: XORG_RELEASE_VERSION: command not found
marco: and i have all the xorg-dev packages installed..can someone help?
drac: marco: It sounds like you are missing the util-macros package, or it's too old.
marco: drac, i'll have a look..it seems there's no util macros package in debian testing
marco: ok, it is included in xutils-dev
marco: thanks for your help, bye
ndim: classic case of RTF README
ndim: Uhm. Why is there a "command not found"?
ndim: That should fail earlier!
ndim: adds code to disable code.
marcel_: hi. does anybody have a working triplehead configuration with two cards? is it possible with build from git atm?
Belboz99: Hey all
Belboz99: Hey all, does anyone know what this option does for DRI?
Belboz99: Mode 0666
yangman: makes the DRI device readable and writable to all users on the host
Flice: hi
Flice: is there DRI support for RV670 in the most current version?
Flice: I'm using 1.2.1-2 with no luck...
GerbilSoft: Flice: R6xx currently has no acceleration in radeonhd (other than shadowfb)
Flice: GerbilSoft: are there plans to add it any time soon?
GerbilSoft: they're working on it
GerbilSoft: from what i've heard AMD is going to release some more R6xx docs and "tcore" in the near future
Flice: GerbilSoft: so it's several months at least.. umm
Flice: I'm becoming totally upset with the card. the damn thing won't even do xvideo correctly with proprietary driver
GerbilSoft: yeah, fglrx is rather poor
Belboz99: I can't play anything under Wine with the fglrx driver, so I have no idea why I even use it (except to play native Linux games, which I usually don't anyways)
Flice: I have managed to make it work almost perfectly, except some tearing off in the movies. well, looks like I'll have to use windows for that
Flice: do I actually need DRI support for accelerated video?
yangman: accelerated video in general, or accelerated video playback?
MostAwesomeDude: Flice: DRM and XV would be fine.
MostAwesomeDude: But neither are in place for r6xx.
MostAwesomeDude: We'll get right on it as soon as AMD releases docs.
MostAwesomeDude: Any day now...
Flice: yangman: video playback
Flice: MostAwesomeDude: good news!
the-me: MostAwesomeDude, hmm? AMD has released all needed documents for that
MostAwesomeDude: the-me: r6xx acceleration?
MostAwesomeDude: It's out?
MostAwesomeDude: ...http://www.x.org/docs/AMD/
MostAwesomeDude: Nope, not yet.
the-me: oh :)
Flice: well, I'll be looking forward to it. thanks
