Nightwulf|work: hi all
artoj: yangman: I'm currently using the 2.6.30-rc2 kernel and it still produces the same graphical errors, I tried the EXANo* options but it still doesn't work
yangman: artoj: can you get a screenshot?
yangman: artoj: in any case, file a bug. that's an unusual one
artoj: where should I file the bug?
artoj: here's the screenshot: http://ajonsson.kapsi.fi/corruption.png (it looks just like that), I'm going to file the bug later because I got to go to school now
ifvoid: I'm trying to set up my radoen 3870 card with radoenhd
ifvoid: everything seems to work fine
ifvoid: but I don't get anything on the screen
ifvoid: here's xorg.conf http://paste.debian.net/33749 and the log http://paste.debian.net/33750
ifvoid: anyone here who could help me out?
Nightwulf|work: ifvoid: did you compile the driver yourself?
Nightwulf|work: ifvoid: and far more important, do you use drm modules from git r6xx-r7xx-support branch?
ifvoid: the driver is 1.2.5 from Debian unstable
Nightwulf|work: and drm modules?
ifvoid: and the drm modules I complies myself for 2.6.27 kernel
ifvoid: and I switched to the correct branch
ifvoid: as you can see, drm is correctly openened
Nightwulf|work: yes...but at the end of the log it complains about missing functionality
ifvoid: and, fwiw, I get the exact same symptoms if I disable DRI
ifvoid: Nightwulf|work: yes, AIGLX
Nightwulf|work: Command submission backend
ifvoid: but that's normal according to the faq as 3d accell isn;t supported yet
Nightwulf|work: the complains about AIGLX are "ok"...but the ones about the command submisson backend aren't!
ifvoid: at which line?
ifvoid: that only occurs after I press ctrl-c
Nightwulf|work: and he says "closed DRM master"...well...with closed DRM transfers to screen seem to be difficult ;-)
ifvoid: while running, the log ends after line 753
Nightwulf|work: did you try radeon driver too? does it show the same behaviour?
ifvoid: let me try
ifvoid: I had fglrx before
Nightwulf|work: k...have to go but I'm on later again
ifvoid: same problem with radeon
