snoopy291: Egbert, I have a question
snoopy291: I'm having a problem getting my X1650 to work with my 22" monitor at 1680x1050. Could I see your xorg.conf?
snoopy291: using the radeonhd driver, of course
airlied: snoopy291: you just said that an hour ago
Tigerchen: libv: *poke* just wanted to report to you that with xrandr from git i was able to successfully enable an external monitor and use it, no whiteouts/hangs on switch to text mode, but haven't tried starting with monitor connected yet
Temujin_: hmm, the new xf86-video-ati 6.8 driver finally looks like a compelling alternative for an rs690 owner like me
Temujin_: anybody give that one a whirl yet?
Temujin_: maybe airlied can shed some light on it
airlied: Temujin_: we have #radeon :)
Temujin_: heh
udovdh: Whew!
udovdh: I got an update!
udovdh: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14438
udovdh: now I what do you say before I test?
udovdh: I vaguely remember that i did try just 'RightOf' alone
udovdh: but I'll verify
Obscene_CNN: cool, a git update
udovdh: ?
udovdh: not for me
udovdh: Already up-to-date.
udovdh: most recent update is from feb 7
michaellarabel: RadeonHD had three updates today.
udovdh: hmmm
udovdh: how come my git pull doesn't see them?
michaellarabel: Did you try a git-update-index ?
udovdh: nope
udovdh: I do see that git-gui does not show the commit dates
udovdh: but an older date
udovdh: titles match the history of the webpage at http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/driver/xf86-video-radeonhd
michaellarabel: Including the updates from today (as well as others after 7 Feb)?
udovdh: I'll just do a fresh clone
Obscene_CNN: is get clone a good way to wipe out any changes you have made to a tree?
udovdh: rm -rf does
udovdh: will try the bugs suggestion tomorrow
udovdh: but I don't think it will help
udovdh: much.
udovdh: be afk now
Terman: udovdh: the newest update is *dated* feb 7, but it was added today, some older updates are dated feb 11th
udovdh: that's waht I saw.
udovdh: thanks
bahadunn: does radeonhd or the ati commercial drivers support sli in linux?
rx__: no crossfire support in either
bahadunn: okay thanks
osiris_: agd5f: radeondump hangs my machine (sysrq doesn't work)
libv: osiris_: ?
osiris_: libv: oops, wrong channel
libvde: rvĀ620 dotclock limits have been found :)
libvde: tomorrow we will hqve working dotclocks on those things, and then egbert can push out initial and DAC support for rv620/635 :)
libvde: Tigerchen: and if fosdem isn't taking too much of my time in the next few days, i might actually dig into the restore issue for a change :)
aneas: i have two screens with different resolutions (1280x800, 1650x1050) and there is an empty area underneath the 1280x800 screen, where i can move my mouse without seeing it. i wrote a small xlib app that sits in the dead area and blocks the cursor, but thats ugly
aneas: any official way of restricting the mouse?
mb133467: hey, is anyone around?
